After my mini-breakdown at last week’s birthing class, I was dreading come to this week’s. Luckily, my husband was actually in town this week so I didn’t have to go it alone this time around. Another asian woman in the birthing class was sans hubby this week, and the teacher totally mistook her for me and thought SHE was the one who had the meltdown last week! BAHAHA. Can’t decide if I feel offended that the teacher clearly thinks all asians look alike, or relieved that someone else got the blame. 😀
This week is my sister’s last week in NYC! She’s moving out to Philadelphia for business school for two years. It sucks because we’re besties (even though we’re nine years apart) but at least Philly is only a short bus ride away. Anyway, we got last second tickets to the Panic! At the Disco concert in Madison Square Garden for $40. We bought the cheap seats that were partially obstructed and really close to the speakers, and I was kind of worried that the loud speakers and vibrations would shake the baby out of me. We managed to convince an usher that being 8 months pregnant was a disability (I mean, if it isn’t, it should be, right?!) and we got to switch our seats to the center stage handicap section – seriously, primo seats that would have cost 4x as much as what we paid for our tickets. I really have to find more opportunities to take advantage of this baby bump while I have it. 😀
